The Harbour Plan Submitted

Following a period of extensive consultation with local stakeholders, civic groups and the wider community, the Folkestone Harbour & Seafront Development Company has submitted the reserved matters application to the highly anticipated Harbour Plan.

A IS FOR ___ started working on the design of the Harbour Plan in 2022 with the objective of making the eastern end of the seafront development as active, permeable and public as possible.

The finalized scheme includes 405 residential units, 7500m2 of commerical area as well as a 150% biodiversity net gain through the inclusion of a new seafront park and extensive tree planting.

The very successful meanwhile uses currently on site will find a permanent home in the future development including the Goods Yard, Beachside and Harbourside.

A decision from the planning comittee is expcted later in the year and we are looking forward to carrying on this ambitious vision for Folkestone.
